2 CHRONICLES 6:19-20, ZEPHANIAH 3:15-16, LUKE 1:46-55

2 CHRONICLES 6:19-20
Yahweh my God, listen to the cry and to the prayer Your servant makes to You.  Day and night let Your eyes watch this house where You have promised that Your Name would be.

Beloved, although I know this verse applies to Your Church, I ask You to also watch over our home both  here and in India.  Let Your loving and watchful gaze be on each member of the family.  Watch over our going out and coming in and may Your everlasting Presence remain with us Amen.

ZEPHANIAH 3:15-16
The King of Israel is with you; do not fear any misfortune.  Do not be afraid nor let your hands tremble, for Yahweh Your God is within you.

Beloved, You are with me, Emmanuel, I need never be afraid.  I need never allow myself to tremble with fear for God, my God is with me.  I receive You in Your fullness my Life, in the Eucharist and You give me all I need to live a life victorious in Your Spirit.

LUKE 1:46-55

46 And Mary said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
47 my spirit exults in God my savior!
48 He has looked upon his servant in her lowliness,
and people forever will call me blessed.
49 The Mighty One has done great things for me,
      Holy is his Name!
50 From age to age his mercy extends
to those who live in his presence.
51 He has acted with power and done wonders,
and scattered the proud with their plans.
52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones
and lifted up those who are downtrodden.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54 He held out his hand to Israel, his servant,
      for he remembered his mercy,
55 even as he promised our fathers,
      Abraham and his descendants forever.”

Mama, my Mistress and my Queen, this beautiful hymn of praise that rang out and sent its song into the world where it is sung in every language by every nation, by saints and sinners alike, from generation to generation, is a song that is pure delight to God.  It is the song of a soul who is truly a soul under the Lordship of the Most High God.  It is the song of a soul in total surrender, of perfect faith, hope and joy.  It is a song that gives God all the glory for the wonders that He has done.  In this hymn my Mama, you teach me that for the soul that lies quiet like a weaned child on its mother's breast, God holds His hand out in loving protection and gives to such a soul all that is necessary to live a life triumphant over the snares of the enemy.

Baruch 5:1-2, Romans 5:1-5, John 16:13

Baruch 5:1-2
1 Jerusalem, (M), put off your garment of mourning and unhappiness, put on the splendor and glory of God forever. 2 Wrap yourself in the mantle of holiness that comes from God, put on your head the crown of glory of the Eternal One.

Thank You Beloved for urging me to stop grieving.  There is no reason for mourning or unhappiness for those who have place dtheir hope in You.  And I have place all my hope and trust in You.  Yes, I can put on Your splendor and glory my God when I allow You to clothe me in the grace that Your own Holy Spirit pours on me.  I carry You in my heart and soul marked as a child of God, that proclaims to all that I belong to You Beloved.

Romans 5:1-5
1 By faith we have received true righteousness, and we are at peace with God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. 2 Through him we obtain this favor in which we remain and we even boast to expect the Glory of God. 3 Not only that, we also boast even in trials, knowing that trials produce patience, 4 from patience comes merit, merit is the source of hope, 5 and hope does not disappoint us because the Holy Spirit has been given to us, pouring into our hearts the love of God.

By faith and through Baptism and the frequent reception of the Sacraments, I am at peace with God through You my Beloved.  You pour on me rich graces and blessings and I am filled with the joy of Your Presence.  My hope rests in You.  I rejoice in this hope that promises that some day at the end of this life, I shall be united with You in eternity, You who loves me so wonderfully and powerfully.

John 16:13
13 When he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into the whole truth. He has nothing to say of himself but he will speak of what he hears, and he will tell you of the things to come.

It is Your Holy Spirit that constantly reveals the truth concerning You and Your Word, helping me to come to a deeper understanding of You which helps to increase my love for You my great, good God.

Song of Songs 6:10, Jude 1:20-21

Song of Songs 6:10
"Who is this coming like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, majestic as bannered troops?"

She is Mary, my Mother, my Mistress and my Queen.  Mother dearest, I renew my vow of consecration to you.  Pray for me, intercede for me.  Receive all I have to give - my mind, body, soul an dspirit and present them with your holy hand loving hands to Jesus.

Jude 1:20-21
20 But, dearly beloved, build your life on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. 21 Remain firm in the love of God, welcoming the mercy of Jesus Christ, our Lord, which leads to eternal life.

Yes Beloved, I long for You.  I hunger and thirst for you.  Grant me a full measure of Your Holy Spirit in order that I may be pleasing to You always.

My beloved Jesus, help me never to be afraid to ask the difficult questions.  To seek the right answers from sources that are found in the Church and once I know the truth, let it become the rule of my life without compromise.

Psalm 38:10, 1 Peter 4:7-13, Mark 11:24-26

Psalm 38:10
All my longing O Lord, is known to You, my sighing is not hidden from You.

What a comforting thought my Beloved. You know everything there is to know about me. Before You nothing is secret. I can trust Your infinite goodness and mercy all the days of my life.

1 Peter 4:7-13
7 The end of all things is near; keep your minds calm and sober for prayer. 8 Above all, let your love for one another be sincere, for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Welcome one another into your houses without complaining. 10 Serve one another with the gifts each of you received, thus becoming good managers of the varied graces of God. 11 If you speak, deliver the word of God; if you have a special ministry, let it be seen as God’s power so that, in everything, God may be glorified in Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and power forever and ever. Amen. • 12 My dear people, do not be surprised at the testing by fire which is taking place among you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, you should be glad to share in the sufferings of Christ because, on the day his Glory is revealed, you will also fully rejoice.

St. Peter gives a lot of good advice in these verses - be calm and sober for prayer. Love one another. Love covers a multitude of sins. Serve with the gifts you have received. Christ must be the One who is glorified always not self. Be glad to suffer for the sake of Christ.

"Learn to respond with silence. Every provocation does not dignify a verbal encounter. Let silence speak for its sound can often be more deafening than a lot of words. Have faith in Me."

Mark 11:24-26
24 Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it shall be done for you. 25 And when you stand to pray, forgive whatever you may hold against anyone, 26 so that your heavenly Father may also forgive your sins.”

Thank You Beloved.

Proverbs 31:10-31, 1 Peter 2:1-5, 9-10, 12, Mark 10:46-52

Proverbs 31:10-31
The perfect wife

10 The woman of character, where is she to be found? She is more precious than any jewel.
11 Her husband has complete confidence in her; she will be of great benefit to him.
12 She brings him only good and not evil, all the days of her life.
13 She has obtained wool and flax, and works them with skillful hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships which bring provisions from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still dark, feeds her household and allots tasks to the servants.
16 If she sets her heart on a field, she buys it and plants a vineyard with her own hands.
17 She is full of energy and her arms show her strength.
18 She knows her work is successful and, at night, her light remains unextinguished.
19 She puts her hand to the distaff and her fingers hold the spindle.
20 She reaches out her hand to the helpless and gives to the poor.
21 When snow comes, she has no fears for her household since they are all doubly clothed.
22 She makes her own quilts and her clothes are purple and fine linen.
23 Her husband is well-respected; he sits in council with the elders of the people.
24 She weaves linen cloth and sells it; she supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is strong and dignified and looks with confidence to the future.
26 She speaks wisely and her words are kind.
27 She keeps an eye on the conduct of her household and is never idle.
28 Her sons rise up and call her blessed, her husband sings her praises:
29 “Many women have done wonders but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive and beauty useless; the woman who is wise is the one to praise.
31 May she enjoy the fruits of her labor and may all praise her for her works.

Beloved, I asked You to speak to me through Scripture and You responded through this beautiful hymn in praise of to the perfect wife.  Here is the ideal my Lord and I must use her as my model - for she is the perfect image of Mary, my Mother, my Mistress, my Queen.

1 PETER 2:1-5, 9-10, 12
1 So, give up all evil and deceit, hypocrisy, envy and every kind of gossip. 2 Like newborn children, seek eagerly for the pure milk of the Word that will help you grow and reach sal¬vation. 3 Did you not taste the goodness of the Lord? 4 He is the living stone rejected by people but chosen by God and precious to him; set yourselves close to him 5 so that you, too, become living stones built into a spiritual temple, a holy community of priests offering spiritual sacrifices that please God through Jesus Christ.  9 You are a chosen race, a community of priest-kings, a consecrated nation, a people God has made his own to proclaim his wonders. For he called you from your darkness to his own wonderful light. 10 At one stage you were no people, but now you are God’s people, you had not received his mercy, but now you have been given mercy.  12 Live a blameless life among the pagans.

St. Peter advises us to be nourished by Your Word so that we become a holy dwelling place for You.  You have made us into a people who are chosen and sanctified.  You bathe us in Your light and fill us with Your life and goodness and we are called to shine this light brightly where ever we are by living upright, godly and holy lives.

Mark 10:46-52
• 46 They came to Jericho. As Jesus was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar, Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth passing by, he began to call out, “Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me!” 48 Many people scolded him and told him to keep quiet, but he shouted all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”  49 Jesus stopped and said, Call him.” So they called the blind man saying, “Take heart. Get up, he is calling you.” 50 He immediately threw aside his cloak, jumped up and went to Jesus.  51 Then Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said, “Master, let me see again!” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way, your faith has made you well.” And immediately he could see, and he followed Jesus along the road.

This is the true story of every sinner who is truly repentant.  What You did for Bartimaeus You did for me.  You called me from darkness into Your own marvellous light.

This is a truly dramatic incident full of sound and feelings - so much like Your Church today.  You have Your disciples and You have the large crowds.  You are the Hero, the main character and Bartimaeus is represents sinners everywhere and in every time who live in darkness and solitude.  Sins are burdensome, they weigh us down, often crippling us.  We long to change but don't know how or are too weak and then suddenly hope dawns.  You come into our lives and grace is ours for the asking.  All that we are required to do Beloved, is to cry out to You, and You meet our needs so brilliantly.  You give us everything and more than we ever dreamed of.  Deep seated joy and peace that nothing and no one can take away.  Once we cast aside the old way of living, You give us all we need to become Your true disciples and we can follow You along the Way that leads to eternal salvation.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

Jeremiah 20:7 & 9, 1 Peter 1:18-25, Mark 10:32-34, 43-45

Jeremiah 20:7 &9
You have seduced me and I have let myself be seduced.  You have taken me by force and prevailed.  Your Word in my heart becomes like a fire burning deep within my bones.

1 Peter 1:18-25
18 Remember that you were freed from the useless way of life of your ancestors, not with gold and silver 19 but with the precious blood of the Lamb without spot or blemish. 20 God, who has known Christ before the world began, revealed him to you in the last days. 21 Through him, you have faith in God who raised him from the dead and glorified him in order that you might put all your faith and hope in God.
22 In obeying the truth, you have gained interior purification from which comes sincere mutual love. Love one another, then, with all your heart, 23 since you are born again, not from mortal beings, but with enduring life, through the Word of God who lives and remains forever. 24 It is written: All flesh is grass and its glory like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flower falls, 25 but the Word of the Lord endures forever. This Word is the Gospel which has been brought to you.

My Beloved, a great price has been paid for our salvation.  The Blood of the Lamp set us free and has given us an enduring faith.  We obey Your Word which is truth .  It makes us pure and enables us to love with all our heart since through Christ we have received life that will never end.

Mark 10:32-34
32 They were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead. The Twelve were anxious and those who followed were afraid. Once more Jesus took the Twelve aside to tell them what was to happen to him, 33 “You see we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be given over to the chief priests and the teachers of the Law. They will condemn him to death and hand him over to the foreigners 34 who will make fun of him, spit on him, scourge him and finally kill him; but three days later he will rise.”

Beloved, You took the chosen 12 aside and once again You told them exactly what would happen to You.  Everything You said was in exact accordance with the prophecies in the Old Testament.

You also gave us a marvellous rule for our lives if we wish to be united with You eternally in heaven in Mark 10: 43-45  43 But it shall not be so among you; whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever would be first among you shall make himself slave of all. 45 Think of the Son of Man who has not come to be served but to serve and to give his life to redeem many.”

Help me to serve with love.

Luke 17:15, 16, 19 & 24, 1 Peter 1:13-16, Psalm 98:3, Mark 10:29-31

Luke 17:15, 16, 19, 24
15 One of them, as soon as he saw he was cleansed, turned back praising God in a loud voice and 16 throwing himself on his face before Jesus, he gave him thanks.  17 Then Jesus said, “Were not all ten healed? Where are the other nine? 24 As lightning flashes from one end of the sky to the other, so will it be with the Son of Man.

M--- you must believe that whatever you have asked for in faith, you have received.

1 Peter 1:13-16
13 So, then, let your spirit be ready. Be alert, with confident trust in the grace you will receive when Jesus Christ appears. 14 Like obedient children, do not return to your former life given over to ignorance and passions. 15 Imitate the one who called you. As he is holy so you, too, be holy in all your conduct, 16 since Scripture says: Be holy for I am holy.

"Be alert, be confident, trust in the grace I provide.  Imitate Me - be holy as I am holy."

"Beloved, here in a nutshell is Your rule for my life.  Help me to be faithful in obeying our call to holiness."

Psalm 98:3
3 He has not forgotten his love nor his faithfulness to Israel. (Me)

Mark 10:29-31
29 Jesus answered, “Truly, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters, or father or mother, or children, or lands for my sake and for the Gospel, 30 who will not receive his reward. I say to you: even in the midst of persecution he will receive a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and lands in the present time and in the world to come eternal life. 31 I tell you most solemnly, "Many who now are first will be last, and the last, first.”

As I have always maintained Beloved, You are a generous lover.  You take the little I give You and You multiply it a hundred-fold.  You taught me how to give, to receive, to love and to love.  Life lived for self is narrow, cold, joyless, selfish and unhappy.  But a life lived for another  - to die to oneself so another canlive - in this is joy, peace and a deep, abiding and enduring love - the reward of which is Yourself, gracious Lord.

1 Peter 1:8-9, Psalm 111:5, 9-10, Mark 10:27

1 Peter 1:8-9
8 You have not yet seen him and yet you love him; even without seeing him, you believe in him and experience a heavenly joy beyond all words, 9 for you are reaching the goal of your faith: the salvation of your souls.

I do love You Beloved.  My eyes have not seen You but my heart has. Yes, I have experienced great joy in knowing You, getting to know You better each day and loving You with every fibre of my being.

Psalm 111:5, 9-10
5 Always mindful of his covenant, he provides food for those who fear him.  9 He has sent his people deliverances and made with them a covenant forever. His holy name is to be revered! 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; prudent are those who live by his precepts. To him belongs everlasting praise.

You provide food which is life-giving in the Eucharist and thus You keep Your covenant with me.  Your covenant of perfect love.

Mark 10:27
All things are possible with God.

It is comforting to know that nothing is impossible with You my God.  Your Father whom You have taught me to call Abba, Dad, loves me and because He does He sent You, His Beloved Son, to save me. And You wanted me to have a share of Your own Holy Spirit in order that I may live my life in the abundance of Your joy, peace and love.  Thank You my Lord.

Ezekiel 39:29, Psalm 104:45, Romans 8:9-17, John 14:26

Ezekiel 39:29
Never again shall I hide My Face from them because I shall pour out My Spirit on Israel - Word of Yahweh.

Beloved, I prayed for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit on me today the Feast of Pentecost and I asked You to confirm that I have received this Gift. Thank You for Holy Word.

Psalm 104:34
May my songs give Him pleasure as the Lord gives me delight.

May all the songs I sing please You Beloved for You are the joy and delight of my soul and I adore and worship You my God.

Romans 8:9-17
9 Yet your existence is not in the flesh, but in the spirit, because the Spirit of God is within you. If you did not have the Spirit of Christ, you would not belong to him. 10 But Christ is within you; though the body is branded by death as a consequence of sin, the spirit is life and holiness. 11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is within you, He who raised Jesus Christ from among the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies. Yes, he will do it through his Spirit who dwells within you.  12 Then, brothers, let us leave the flesh and no longer live according to it. 13 If not, we will die. Rather, walking in the Spirit, let us put to death the body’s deeds so that we may live. 14 All those who walk in the Spirit of God are sons and daughters of God. 15 Then, no more fear: you did not receive a spirit of slavery, but the Spirit that makes you sons and daughters and every time we cry, “Abba! (this is Dad!) Father!” 16 the Spirit assures our spirit that we are sons and daughters of God. 17 If we are children, we are heirs, too. Ours will be the inheritance of God and we will share it with Christ; for if we now suffer with him, we will also share Glory with him.

How beautifully St. Paul speaks the truth about living a life in the Spirit and filled with the Spirit.

John 14:26
26 From now on the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of all that I have told you.

Thank You Beloved for the gift of the Helper, the Holy Spirit, who teaches me to love You.

Isaiah 27:2-3, Acts 28:30-31, John 21: 22

Isaiah 27:2-3
Praise my fruitful vineyard. I Yahweh am its keeper. I water it every moment so that no one will harm it, day and night I guard it."

Beloved, I belong to You. You look after me. You know all my needs and You pour upon me every grace and blessing that I require to live a fruitful life. Day and night You watch over me. There is never a moment when You take Your gaze off me. If You did Beloved, my life would end. Thank You for supplying me with all that I need.

Acts28:30-31
30 Paul stayed for two whole years in a house he himself rented, where he received without any hindrance all those who came to see him. 31 He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught the truth about Jesus Christ, the Lord, quite openly and without any hindrance.

Like St. Paul, all must find a welcome with us in imitation of You and we must give freely of all that we have received.

John 21:22
"FOLLOW ME."

As You commanded Peter, so You command me my Lord, "Follow Me." May I do so all the days of my life.

Jeremiah 32:26-27, 38-41, Psalm 103:1-2, 11-12, 19-20, John 21:15-19

My Beloved, Your love, Your tenderness and Your ability to give me exactly what I need in my response to my need, helps me to understand how awesome is Your care and love for me.

Jeremiah 32:26-27, 38-41
26 The word of Yahweh then came to Jeremiah: 27 “I am Yahweh, the God of all humankind. Is there anything impossible for me? 38 They will be my people and I shall be their God.  39 I will have them think and act in another way, so that they may always fear me for their own good and the good of their children.  40 I will forge an eternal covenant with them by which I shall never cease to do them good and I shall place my fear in their heart so that they may never turn away from me.  41 I shall rejoice in doing them good and I shall plant them securely in this land with all my heart and soul.”

These verses from the Prophet Jeremiah are a continuation of the pledge of love You have made to me and my children yesterday. Thank You. I wish I could say I give You back love for love- but my love in comparison with Yours is so weak. Give me a full measure of Your Holy Spirit in order that I may love You with my entire being.

Psalm 103:1-2, 11-12, 19-20
1 Bless the Lord, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all his kindness;
11 As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his love for those fearing him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove from us our sins.
19 The Lord has set his throne in heaven; he rules, he has power everywhere.
20 Praise the Lord, all you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, you who obey his word.

These verses for today reinforce my knowledge of the One in whom I have place my faith, hope, trust and confidence. Yes Beloved, I must bless You with all my strength of body, mind and spirit for You have been kind, gracious and generous to me from the moment of my conception. As hight as the heavens are above the earth so great is Your love for me - how foolish then would I be if I allowed my fears to swallow up my faith and trust in You. I am loved by You who has set His throne in heaven and who rules with power everywhere. For my part, I must imitate the angels who praise You, do Your bidding and obey Your word.

John 21:15-19
15 After they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” And Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”
16 A second time Jesus said to him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” And Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Look after my sheep.” 17 And a third time he said to him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”  Peter was saddened because Jesus asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus then said, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, I say to you, when you were young you put on your belt and walked where you liked. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and another will put a belt around you and lead you where you do not wish to go.” 19 Jesus said this to make known the kind of death by which Peter was to glorify God. And he added, “Follow me.”

You ask me the same question You put thrice to Peter, "M---, do you love Me?" The immediate response would be, "Yes, Beloved, I love You." But You want me to understand what love and love means and demands. If I say I love You almighty and eternal God, then I must fulfill all that love demands. I must be responsive, I must allow You to lead me even if I do not understand where You are taking me. I must trust You so completely that I do not question Your judgement and my love must shine as a witness to You - loving You means loving my neighbor as myself.

Isaiah 59:21, Psalm 16:1-2, 5, 7-11, Acts 22:11,

Isaiah 59:21
For my part, this is my covenant with you.  My Spirit which I have poured out on you and my words which I have put in your mouth, will never leave you, nor your children, nor your children's children forever and ever.

What a wonderful promise Beloved. Thank You.  I am truly grateful.

Acts 22:11
...That night the Lord stood by Paul and said, "Courage! As you  have borne witness to me here in Jerusalem, so must you do in Rome."

You will always come to us and strengthen  us when we are faithful in carrying out the mission and mandate You have given us. The Mission: Is to go out into the world and preach the Good News.  The Mandate:  Is to be holy and perfect and as the Father is holy and perfect.

Psalm 16: 1-2, 5, 7-11

Keep me safe, O God,
for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord,
“You are my Lord, my only good.”
O Lord, my inheritance and my cup,
my chosen portion – hold secure my lot.
I bless the Lord who counsels me;
even at night my inmost self instructs me.
I keep the Lord always before me;
for with him at my right hand,
I will never be shaken.
My heart, therefore, exults, my soul rejoices;
my body too will rest assured.
10 For you will not abandon
my soul to the grave,
nor will you suffer your holy one
to see decay in the land of the dead.
11 You will show me the path of life,
in your presence the fullness of joy,
at your right hand happiness forever.

Beloved, in Psalm 16 Your promises are reassuring to one who believes, hopes, trusts and loves You.

John 17:20-26

20 I pray not only for these but also for those who through their word will believe in me. 21 May they all be one as you Father are in me and I am in you. May they be one in us; so the world may believe that you have sent me.
22 I have given them the Glory you have given me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. Thus they shall reach perfection in unity and the world shall know that you have sent me and that I have loved them just as you loved me.
24 Father, since you have given them to me, I want them to be with me where I am and see the Glory you gave me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25 Righteous Father, the world has not known you but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me. 26 As I revealed your Name to them, so will I continue to reveal it, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I also may be in them.”

What a beautiful prayer for unity between You and us.  You wish us to share and enjoy the same glory that You share with Your Father.  You want us to reach perfection in unity with the Church and with one another.  You want us in eternity with You where we can see the glory given to You by the Father and this same glory You wish to share with Your own.  For those who believe, You have given the privilege of being called children of God.  You are a generous Lover Beloved.  You share everything holding nothing back.  Teach me to love as You love.  To be generous as You are generous.  Not to count the cost of loving.  Grant me the grace to make You known and loved by those around me. Amen.

Isaiah 45:23, Isaiah 46:3-4, 9, Acts 20:26-30, 32, John 17:11-19

Isaiah 45:23-24
Before me every knee will bend, by me every tongue will swear, 24 saying, “In Yahweh alone are righteousness and strength.”

Beloved, in these verses You remind me who You are and because of who You are the world will sink down to its knees and bow down before You.

Isaiah 46:3-9, 9
....I have cared for you since you were conceived, and carried you since you were born.  4 Even to your old age, I am he and I will sustain you even when your hair turns gray. It is I who have done this, and who bear the burdens, I will sustain and save you.  I recall those things of long ago.
9 I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.

Yet, it is You who love so tenderly.  You take into account my frailty and my many weaknesses and my tendency to sin and You supply all I need because You are loving and generous.  And finally my Beloved, although You deign to temper Your justice with loving kindness and compassion, I must never lose sight of the fact that You are God.

Acts 20:28-30, 32
28 Keep watch over yourselves and over the whole flock the Holy Spirit has placed into your care. Shepherd the Church of the Lord that he has won at the price of his own blood. 29 I know that after I leave, ruthless wolves will come among you and not spare the flock. 30 And from among you, some will arise corrupting the truth and inducing the disciples to follow them.  32 Now I commend you to God and to his grace-filled word, which is able to make you grow and gain the inheritance that you shall share with all the saints.

Beloved, wolves with or without sheep's clothing continue to attack and undermine the Church from without and within.  We are under Your all powerful protection.  Your Word sustains us and  helps us grow and someday we shall enjoy the inheritance that You have obtained for us and which we will share with all the saints who have gone before us.

John 17:11-19
11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world whereas I am going to you. Holy Father, keep them in your Name (that you have given me,) so that they may be one, just as we are. 12 When I was with them, I kept them safe in your Name, and not one was lost except the one who was already lost, and in this the Scripture was fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you and I leave these my words in the world that my joy may be complete in them.  14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them because they are not of the world; just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask you to remove them from the world but to keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world; 17 consecrate them in the truth – your word is truth. 18 I have sent them into the world as you sent me into the world, 19 and for their sake, I go to the sacrifice by which I am consecrated, so that they too may be consecrated in truth.

My Beloved Jesus this beautiful, tender and loving prayer You prayed to the Father for Your Church and its members has preserved and protected it from its enemies throughout the centuries.  Sometimes one is afraid for Your Bride, the Church that was formed from Your pierced side at Calvary.  The attacks to Your Church in the present age are virulent, the lies are vicious and repeated persistently day after day, ad infinitum ad nauseam by the media.  But we need not be afraid for Your love and Your constant, vigilant protection helps the Church overcome the snares of the world and the devil.

Your holy sacrifice has consecrated Your Bride the Church.  Your Body and Blood and the water that flowed from Your side washes us, cleanses us, purifies us and makes us holy despite the sinfulness of its members.

Thank You Beloved.

Acts 20:19-20, 24, 27, John 17:2-4, 6, 9-11

Acts 20:19-20, 24, 27

19 how I served the Lord in humility through the sorrows and trials that the Jews caused me. 20 You know that I never held back from doing anything that could be useful for you; I spoke publicly and in your homes  24 Indeed I put no value on my life, if only I can finish my race and complete the service to which I have been assigned by the Lord Jesus, to announce the good news of God’s grace. . 27 For I have spared no effort in fully declaring to you God’s will.

Beloved, all this ought to be true of me too because I to have the same mission, which is to make You known to all who are within the circle of my influence.

John 17:2-4, 6, 9-11

2 Jesus said, "Father, You have given him power over all mortals, and you want him to bring eternal life to all you have entrusted to him. For this is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and the One you sent, Jesus Christ.
I have glorified you on earth and finished the work that you gave me to do.
I have made your name known to those you gave me from the world. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they kept your word.
I pray for them; I do not pray for the world but for those who belong to you and whom you have given to me – 10 indeed all I have is yours and all you have is mine – and now they are my glory. 11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world whereas I am going to you. Holy Father, keep them in your Name (that you have given me,) so that they may be one, just as we are."

You have prayed for me Beloved, as You have prayed for all of us who call ourselves Christians.  I am Your follower.  I wish to keep Your Word always.  I want to belong to You and to Your Father.  The Father has entrusted me to You my Beloved and You have given me all that the Father has given You.  Help me always to remember that I am not alone.  I do not live in isolation.  I am one with You and one with Your Body, the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church.  All the spiritual treasures with which You have enriched Your  Church are mine as well.  Thank You Lord.
