Proverbs 30:4-6, 1 Corinthians 15:12-20, Luke 8:1-3

Proverbs 30:4-6
4 Who has ascended the heavens and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his hands? Who has encircled the waters with his cloak? Who has established the limits of the earth? What is his name or the name of his son? Do you know? 5 Every word of God is true, he is a shield in whom man can find refuge. 6 Add nothing to his words lest he rebuke you and take you for a liar.

Beloved, as revealed by You, it is You who have ascended into heaven after Your triumph over death, in Your passion, and Your glorious resurrection.  It is You, who, eternally begotten of the  Father, descended to earth in obedience to His will and became incarnate in the womb of Mary.  You are the Word that issued from the mouth of God as the Spirit hovered over all that was not, so all could be at His command.  The mighty hand of God, His all powerful Word in union with the Holy Spirit - the triune God, in perfect wisdom made all these and set their limit and boundaries.  What is the name of the Son of God - HIS NAME IS JESUS, Son of Mary and Son of the Father through the power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:12-20
12 Well, then, if Christ is preached as risen from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is empty and our belief comes to nothing. 15And we become false witnesses of God, attesting that he raised Christ, whereas he could not raise him if indeed the dead are not raised. 16 If the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith gives you nothing, and you are still in sin. 18 Also those who fall asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If it is only for this life that we hope in Christ, we are the most unfortunate of all people.

May the knowledge that the Word of God is absolute Truth, sink into my heart, mind and soul.  His Word is my Rock, my shiled, my refuge.  As i make an act of commitment today as a trainee Catechist, I vow to add nothing or take away nothing from His Word as revealed in Holy Scripture or through Sacred Tradition, guareded zealously by Holy Mother Church and aided by the Holy Spirit.

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.  This is our hope that we too shall rise like Him.  Because of Him we have an eternal future and present hope born of faith.
Luke 8:1-3
• 1 Jesus walked through towns and countryside, preaching and giving the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve followed him, 2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and diseases: Mary called Magdalene, who had been freed of seven demons; 3 Joanna, wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Suzanna and others who provided for them out of their own funds.

There are just three verses here but they reveal a wealth of information about You my Lord.

Wherever You went You walked with Your faithful band of followers.  You were at leisure to stop at will - teaching, preaching, healing, instructing, interacting with those You met on the way - the blind, the leper, the lame, those possessed with evil spirit, pointing out the beauty of flower, bird, seed, furit, tree, animal and relating parables illustrating the love of God and His Kingdom.

You would have nothing to do with the social prejudices of the day that deemed women inferior.  Women followed You  and offered faithful and loving service.
