Proverbs 3:27-28, Ephesians 1:1-10

Proverbs 3:27-28
Do not hold back from those who ask your help, when it is in your power to do it. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go away! Come another time; tomorrow I will give it to you!” when you can help him now.  27 Do not hold back from those who ask your help, when it is in your power to do it. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go away! Come another time; tomorrow I will give it to you!” when you can help him now.

Beloved, help me to remember this always. I must be prompt in offering help when asked if it is within my power to do so and when asked to give I must do so with a generous heart.

Ephesians 1:1-10
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
to the saints in Ephesus, to you who share Christian faith:
2 receive grace and peace from God our Father and from Jesus the Lord.
• 3 Blessed be God, the Father of Christ Jesus our Lord,
who in Christ has blessed us from heaven with every spiritual blessing.
4 God chose us in Christ before the creation of the world
to be holy and without sin in his presence.
5 From eternity he destined us in love
to be his adopted sons and daughters through Christ Jesus,
thus fulfilling his free and generous will.
This goal suited him:
6 that his loving-kindness which he granted us in his Beloved
might finally receive all glory and praise.
7 For in Christ we obtain freedom, sealed by his blood,
and have the forgiveness of sins.
In this appears the greatness of his grace,
8 which he lavished on us.
In all wisdom and understanding,
9 God has made known to us his mysterious design,
in accordance with his loving-kindness in Christ.
10 In him and under him God wanted to unite,
when the fullness of time had come,
everything in heaven and on earth.

Beloved, there has not been and never will there ever be one who has loved or will love as You do. Psalm 8:4 comes to mind, "What is man that you should keep him in mind, mortal man that you care for him?" We are sinners and quite unworthy of Your love. Who can understand why You love us as You do? You not only created us in love but You have destined us for love both here and in the hereafter eternally.
