Isaiah 35:1-10, Luke 5:17-26, Psalm 85:9-14

Daily Mass Reading for today: Isaiah 35:1-10, Luke 5:17-26, Psalm 85:9-14
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

M--- mine, wait for Me to speak and when I do listen. When I don't, rest in My silence and be refreshed. Let love, My love be the master that rules you, guides you, absorbs you, motivates you. Let My love for you be the light that draws others to Me through you.

Isaiah 35:6
6 Then will the lame leap as a hart and the tongue of the dumb sing and shout. For water will break out in the wilderness and streams gush forth from the desert.

The way of holiness leads to the heart of God and You are the way. Nothing unclean can ever come into Your Presence, O Most High God, so cleanse me Lord. Give me a truly contrite heart and a repentant spirit and may I strive with the help of Your grace never to offend You in word, look, thought or desire.

Luke 5:17-26

The friends of the paralytic were not going to be fazed by the obstacles they faced. The house was filled with important people - the pharisees and the doctors of the law from around the region of Galilee. But there is always a way to God if we are willing to find it and take it, no matter how outlandish it may seem to others. If we are willing to do whatever is necessary and are even prepared to look ridiculous to others, God will never disappoint us. We will receive all that our heart desires and more. The friends of the paralytic came for a healing of body they received healing in both body and soul for their friend and they themselves also encountered the Living God.
