Isaiah 42:2-3
2 He does not shout or raise his voice
proclamations are not heard in the streets.
3 A broken reed he will not crush,
nor will he snuff out the light
of the wavering wick.
He will make justice appear in truth.

In a world of noise it soothes the spirit to know that Your voice is sweet, low and gentle.  You are merciful.  You do not accuse.  You know why we are the way we are.  You know all the circumstances of our life.  While others may judge us and often wrongly, You judge on the basis of truth, the truth that sets us free.

Matthew 17:12
"They will also make the Son of Man suffer."

The Father knew that we would You suffer, Yet You said yes to Your Father and became incarnate of the Virgin Mary.  You became a Man among men and we made You suffer to the point of death.  You continue to suffer mysteriously as long as Your Church as well as the poor, the outcast, the sinner, the helpless, the sick are ignored, persecuted and treated cruelly. Help me to make amends in my own small way my Beloved, to console You by doing my share in offering a helping hand or just understanding and comforting.
