Ezekiel 37:26, Revelations 21:23 & 25

"My Beloved, I want to wrap myself around You like a clinging vine, like a limpet and I don't ever want to let You go.  Held close to You.  Pressed to Your heart - what perfect joy and perfect tranquility.  Who could want anything more?  Just You and I in the closest embrace possible."  

"That's exactly what I do for you my child in the Holy Eucharist.   I take you up into My infinity.  I enfold you as you enfold Me.  There is no union, except in heaven, as perfect as this in the union of the Eucharist of Lover and beloved."

Lord God, we long for the new heaven and the new earth that the evangelist describes so powerfully in Revelations Chapter 21:23 which says, "The city has no need of the light of the sun or the moon, since God's glory is its light and the Lamb is its lamp." And verse 25 which says,"Its gates will not be closed at sunset, for there will be no night there."  How wonderful my God, there we will be bathed and infused eternally with the light of the glory of God with the Lamb as its lamp.

PRAYER

Abba Father, for the sake of  Your Son and through the merits won for all humanity on the Cross, we pray the words of 

Psalm 67:1-8

2 May God be gracious and bless us;

may he let his face shine upon us,

3 that your way be known on earth

and your salvation among the nations.

4 May the peoples praise you, O God,

may all the peoples praise you!

5 May the countries be glad and sing for joy,

for you rule the peoples with justice

and guide the nations of the world.

6 May the peoples praise you, O God,

may all the peoples praise you!

7 The land has given its harvest;

God, our God, has blessed us.

8 May God bless us and be revered,

to the very ends of the earth.

May all nations acclaim and acknowledge You Father and worship You O Holy Triune God in order that Your Kingdom may be established here on earth.

It is so easy for men, especially our young ones to be tempted.  Just as Adam and Ever were so easily tempted into believing a lie, so the world makes many empty promises and men are swayed by the bright, red apples that look so good but are full of ash and worms for they distract us like pretty baubles from putting You first and foremost in our lives. 

For the sake of Jesus, have pity Abba Father and break the terrible spell that the world, the flesh and the devil has cast upon your poor, sinful creatures and set us free to love and worship You alone.  This I pray in Jesus' Name. Amen.
