1 Samuel 7:8, 2Kings 2:9, Psalm 31:20-21 & 24, Matthew 6:3-4, 6, 17-18

My Beloved, our prayer group seems to have lost its fervor.  Thank You for Your answer to my prayer in 1 Samuel 7:8, "Prayer without ceasing to Yahweh our God."

2 Kings 2:9

Elijah said to Elisha, “What shall I do for you before I am taken away from you? Ask me.” Elisha said, “Grant that I may have the best of your spirit.”

Beloved, before Your ascension into Heaven You left us the most glorious Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, so You could be among us always.  You gave us the Sacrament of the Priesthood with the authority and power to change ordinary bread and wine into Your most Holy and precious Body and Blood so we could be nourished by You and be transformed by You.  Not content with these most marvelous gifts You also gave us Your most Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Baptism so that You own Spirit dwelling in us would keep us united with You all the time.

It would be impossible for us to please You if Your Spirit did not live in us and You did not provide Your Body and Blood for our spiritual nourishment.

Psalm 31:20-21, 24
20 How great is the goodness which you have stored for those who fear you, which you show, for all to see, to those who take refuge in you!
21 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from human wiles; you keep them in your dwelling, safe from the intrigues of wagging tongues.

24 Love the Lord, all you his saints! The Lord preserves his faithful,

Your Sacred Heart is the storehouse of goodness, mercy and compassionate love which You pour upon all who take refuge in it.

In the shelter of Your Sacred Heart, You keep us safe from our enemies.  You hide us from the wickedness and snares of evil that lays traps for our soul.  We are called to be saints and to love the Lord our God as saints and You O Lord, who is always faithful will preserve us.

Matthew 6:3-4, 6, 17-18

If you give something to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your gift remains really secret. Your Father who sees what is kept secret, will reward you.
. When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is with you in secret; and your Father who sees what is kept secret will reward you.
17 When you fast, wash your face and make yourself look cheerful, 18 because you are not fasting for appearances or for people, but for your Father who sees beyond appearances. And your Father, who sees what is kept secret will reward you.
May all I say and do be for Your glory and Yours alone.  Anything I am or have is because You  have been exceedingly generous to me.  May my response be a grateful and loving heart filled with a cheerful willingness to  be ready always to help anyone in need.
